In d2Youth (the student ministry of Destiny Family Christian Center) and Destiny Kidz (the children’s ministry of Destiny Family Christian Center,) we believe that Wonder, Passion and Discovery are essential in the physical, emotional and spiritual development of our children and youth.
Wonder
Remember the dazzle of life that affected our imaginations as children? We turned over rocks, stared at stars, and asked a million questions about everything! At Destiny’s children and youth ministries, it is our goal to inspire a sense of wonder towards God. Every time we gather to worship, to pray, to play, we hope to create a feeling of wonder towards the God who created us, loves and lives and works through us. And, as God leads our children to continue turning over rocks and staring at the stars, our hope is they will find something inspiring. We hope they find a glimmering light - the light of Passion.
Passion
In d2Youth and Destiny Kidz, our goal is to ignite a passion in our students to follow Christ beyond our time with them. Creating the spark that ignites their passion is the focus of our time with them. We believe igniting passion for God in our students will empower to them to be the children, students and eventually adults God designed them to be.
Discovery
A sense of Wonder ignites Passion, which in turn provokes us towards discovery. Discovery is the process where the important questions like, “Who am I?”, “Where do I belong?”, and “Why do I matter?”are answered. In d2Youth and Destiny Kidz, we choose to create a community where our youth can safely discover who they are and why their lives matter. Live your life in constant wonder, allow your wonder to ignite passion and be provoked to discovery.
