The purpose and goal of the Ministry Team rotation is to ensure continued focus on the needs of our church membership
The team "on call" acts as the coordinators and first responders of Destiny's Member Services Response System. During the week a team is "on", each member of the team need to be assigned an aspect of ministry. The team leader is responsible for communicating assignments and feedback of all duties performed to the administrative office with a written report of services provided. If no one from your team is available to fulfill a particular duty, please coordinate with a minister from another team to ensure all roles and responsibilities are covered
Responsibilities of Ministry Include (but are not limited too):
- Hospital Visitation/Representing Ministry (As directed)
- Post Service Prayer & Greeting
- Courtesy Calls/Cards
During the respective week of duty one of the "Elders" (listed in red) on that team will serve as team leader with the other elder(s) a backup (the team leader should alternate every rotation). The team leader is responsible for attending after action reviews, gathering the hospital lists and other reports from the office. This person will be serving as the communication liaison between the church office and the team. The team "on call" is responsible for coordinating with any available ministry staff to ensure every aspect of ministry listed above (or otherwise requested) is performed. While the team on call is ultimately responsible for ensuring that these aspects of ministry are covered, ALL ministers should plan to serve as available when needed regardless of the team on duty. The duty schedule is intended to allow each minister of each respective team to schedule availability for ministry. Please plan accordingly.
