Membership Has Benefits
Church membership should be a part of every true believer’s life! A Christian without a church family is a contradiction. We are the “body” of Christ. The body can only function as God purposed when its members are joined and stay connected. Dysfunction and suffering always result from neglecting to come together as God intended. Church is the intentional gathering and covenant relationship among believers resulting in fellowship. It is the institution God chose to develop His character in us. Through church participation, we practice the fruit of the spirit, receive from other members in the body of Christ, and minister with the gifts and talents that God has given us, thus fulfilling his purpose for our lives and nurturing the body. If we are in committed fellowship with God, it will be apparent by our committed fellowship with one another!
