Frequently Asked Volunteering Questions
How do I actually get started as a volunteer at Destiny Church?
Fill out the volunteer form on this page indicating where you'd like to serve, and someone from Destiny Church will contact you with next steps. Think of it like RSVPing — the form opens the door, and a team lead walks you in.
What volunteer teams can I join at Destiny Church?
You can serve with Team Destiny (Ushers, Greeters, Information Center), Destiny Kidz, Gravity youth ministry, the Choir or Band, the Productions Team for media and tech, or IMAX for young adults. There are also community service opportunities throughout the year.
Can I volunteer with my kids or as a whole family?
Yes — Destiny Kidz cares for newborns through age 12 during Sunday service, so parents can serve on teams like Team Destiny or Productions while their children are taught the Word on their level. Older kids and teens can plug into Gravity as they grow.
How do I know which volunteer team is the right fit for me?
Match the role to how you're already wired. Love welcoming people? Team Destiny. Great with kids? Destiny Kidz. Musical? Choir or Band. Tech-minded? Productions. It's less about filling a slot and more about plugging your God-given talents into the right outlet.
Do I need to be a church member to volunteer at Destiny Church?
Volunteering and membership both fall under the same "Next Steps" pathway, and Destiny DNA classes help ground you in what the church believes before you step into ministry. Serving and belonging are designed to grow together, not as separate tracks.
When does each volunteer team actually serve?
Service times follow each ministry's gathering. Team Destiny, Destiny Kidz, and Productions serve Sunday mornings from 9–11 a.m., while Gravity volunteers serve Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in the Destiny Youth Auditorium. IMAX and community service opportunities run on their own rhythms throughout the year.
